It sometimes seems like yesterday, but in truth we've been around for more than 20 years. In 2000, Nhan Marbacher-Vo opened the corner restaurant at Schmiede Wiedikon. Her dishes and soups quickly became well-known in the city, because Zurich finally had an authentic Vietnamese restaurant.
Nhan Marbacher-Vo created some of her popular Vietnamese dishes herself, for example, her chicken in plum sauce or her chicken satay, which you won't find anywhere else but in our three restaurants.
Petit Saigon is a Zurich institution. Bankers eat here next to bicycle couriers, everything is fresh, everything is fast. We know no flavour enhancers and no glutamate: when the sun rises over Zurich, our soups and curries are already simmering. Just like our grandmothers taught us at home in Vietnam.
Founder Nhan Marbacher-Vo passed on her knowledge and recipes to her daughter Sabrina, who continues to run and modernise the family business.
In 2009, the restaurant Saigon am Stauffacher was added. Later, the Chez Nhan Deli, which is now located at Uetlibergstrasse 22.
All three restaurants are unique in Zurich: they give traditional Vietnamese cooking a modern twist and combine the best of the old with the best of the new.
It is impossible to imagine Zurich's culinary life without our authentic cuisine. You can also find our dishes at the Christmas market at Bellevue; with our catering service we take care of the well-being of guests at family occasions and corporate events.
Our principle is: life is too short for bland soups. We hope that you too will join us in our family motto and that we will soon be able to welcome you as our guest.
